Rebuilding Together NYC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for safe and healthy housing that provides repairs and modifications to low-income homes and nonprofit facilities. Rebuilding Together NYC rehabilitates the homes of low-income, elderly, and/or veteran homeowners living in the five borough area of New York City. Rebuilding Together NYC is one of almost 200 Rebuilding Together, Inc. affiliates nationwide. Founded in 1988, the national office for Rebuilding Together, Inc. is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and is the largest volunteer-based home rehabilitation organization in America.

We believe the toughest place for a college student in recovery might just be college. Peer support in healthy homes at Aaron’s House for Men, and Grace House for Women are cornerstones to a growing community of college students in recovery. The World Health Foundation for Development and Peace, founded by Dr. Warter, is a non-profit, educational organization whose mission is to disseminate ideas and programs that generate greater health, well being and a higher standard of living across the world. This work is accomplished by empowering individuals and groups to create projects in their home regions that are in alignment with their own vision for their communities. A better quality of life, holistic health, ecological education and public policy grounded in an altruistic perspective for public service are its objectives.

People's is one of the oldest, continuously running independent primary care clinics in the country. Established in 1970 by a group of volunteer doctors and nurses, People's has never wavered from its mission to improve the health of medically underserved and uninsured Central Texans by providing high quality, affordable health care with respect and dignity. Most People's patients are from working families not able to afford healthcare insurance premiums and whose employers do not offer healthcare insurance coverage. There are approximately 280,000 uninsured adults and children (1 in 4) in the Austin metropolitan area. People's serves as the medical home for over 11,000 patients in our community. Uninsured people have few health care options other than the emergency room. People's provides continuity of care that an Emergency Room simply is not designed to offer on a sliding scale basis according to patients' income.

Their purpose is to glorify God in reflecting His grace to us, to others. They come alongside men who are struggling with addiction or are re-entering the community after being incarcerated, living in the mission, or completing a drug rehab program. They provide them safe and sober housing with a family environment to encourage them in their efforts to better their lives. They believe everyone deserves second chances in life. The men come from all walks of life, and not all of them have been blessed with stable homes and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. They believe, given the right tools, all men can learn to use the gifts God has given them to their fullest potential. They encourage each man to look outside himself to help a brother in need. They encourage men to serve in their fundraising efforts, become sponsors or mentors to new residents, and volunteer in the local community. Each man has his own gifts to share to build a loving community.
