Rooms of Hope is a 501(c) non-profit organization serving 9 counties that make up the San Francisco Bay Area. Rooms of Hope gives back a little bit of control to sick children who often lose their say in daily activities, including going to school or having play dates because of their depressed immune systems and need for medical attention. Usually, they can no longer participate in sports or other extracurricular activities. Daily routines go from being “normal” to now being all about hospital visits or being at home while the rest of world moves forward without them. But we bring something wonderful to look forward to and give each child their voice. This gift goes on well beyond their amazing reveal of their dream space. While at home, this is their place of inspiration, healing and solace.

The Soldiers Project is committed to providing a safety net of psychological care for post-9/11 Veterans, regardless of their discharge status, and their loved ones. We also work to educate the general public on how the psychological consequences of war affect not only those who serve, but also their loved ones at home and in our communities. All counseling is done by licensed professional mental health therapists in their private, professional office spaces.

Since 1964, West Ridge Academy (formerly known as the Utah Boys Ranch) has been helping struggling teens and bringing hope to young men, young women and their families. From the earliest days, the organization recognized the positive effect its program had on young men who were struggling academically, emotionally and socially. Today, the academy has served more than 25,000 students, has expanded to include separate and distinct campuses for boys and girls, and continues to bring hope and healing to families across the world.     The purpose of West Ridge Academy is simple: to send a child home with a change of heart. We are consistently able to do this by applying our foundational principles of Family, Spirituality, Integrity, Work, Service and Gratitude. With each student, a Master Treatment Plan is individually developed and implemented, created specifically for each student’s needs. Every Treatment Plan includes guidance and personal involvement from four teams including Therapists, Home Staff, Teachers and Spiritual Advisors.

Our mission is to enhance the well-being of youth and their families through natural and community supports. That means that we use a team approach to help our kids succeed, overcome challenges, and achieve their dreams and goals. Ocean Partnership for Children is THE NJ Children's System of Care designated care management organization (CMO) in Ocean County, NJ. We help over 1,000 youth every day, keeping them at home, in school and in the community where they can thrive. We use an innovative and successful approach that focuses on the youth's strengths, instead of their struggles. Our wraparound approach means we wrap services (in-home counseling, behavioral support, and other supports) around that youth and family. Because of our dedicated care coordination, over 90% of our youth are successful in their community!

Hospice of the Piedmont is an organized, not for profit program that, upon informed choice, provides palliative care, health care, and supportive services to patients, their families, and significant others in both home and facility-based settings. Physical, social, spiritual, and emotional care is provided during the last stages of illness, during the dying process, and during bereavement by a medically directed interdisciplinary team. Hospice of the Piedmont serves patients from four North Carolina counties: Guilford, Forsyth, Randolph and Davidson.

Caring House is the first and only non-profit, home-based setting completely focused on helping residents and their families through the end-of-life journey in Los Angeles County. We provide peace of mind as we lovingly care for our residents and their families - assuring peace, comfort, support and dignity at the end of their life/their loved one's life. Our caregivers and volunteers alike say it is a privilege and often their favorite part of the day to help residents and families during this time.

Children's Health Council's mission is to help children with ADHD, LD, Anxiety & Depression and Autism Spectrum Disorders thrive by promoting Social Emotional Learning, Academics, Executive functioning and Physical Development. Our Center, two schools and Community Clinic serve families in Silicon Valley as well as the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We believe there is a world of promise and potential in every child and using a personalized approach, we help children become happier, more resilient and more successful at home, in school and in life.

The mission of Camphill Village is to be an integrated community where people with developmental disabilities live a life with dignity, equality and a sense of purpose. On 615 acres of wooded hills, gardens, and pastures in rural upstate New York, adults with special needs and long- and short-term service volunteers strive to live and work together as equals in extended families in homes throughout Camphill Village. The founding of Camphill Village in 1961 was part of a transformative movement in the United States to reform how society treats people with special needs.

As San Diego’s oldest children’s nonprofit founded in 1887, the Center operates 9 program sites and community-based services within hundreds of homes and schools across San Diego County. The Center is nationally accredited for its excellence in quality of care by The Joint Commission.

Originally founded in downtown LA as an orphanage, our initial mission was simply to provide safety to children who had no home. In time, our mission expanded to also focus on the well-being of our clients and caring for the mental and emotional health of children who were increasingly coming to us as a result of abuse or neglect. Having grown to an agency caring for nearly 8,700 children and family members annually across five counties, we now strive for permanency – a permanent, loving home – for all those in our care. These three pillars; safety, well-being and permanency provide the framework for all of Five Acres’ current programs and they will guide our steps in the future as we continue seeking even more effective means of caring for children and families in crisis. For over 129 years Five Acres has been committed to preserving successful childcare programs and developing innovative services for children and families in crisis. With over 100,000 clients served since its founding in 1888, Five Acres currently cares for 8,700 children and families annually, across five counties including Los Angeles. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty by changing the first 1,000 days of a child's life. We work with our families living below the poverty line from pregnancy through the child’s third birthday. We believe in tackling poverty neighborhood by neighborhood and empowering the mamas. Community matters- particularly when you are a new immigrant mama. Knowledge matters- particularly when you didn’t have strong role models growing up.Books matter – particularly when you don’t have any in your home. Food matters – it is hard to learn and focus if you are hungry. We get it. We see it every day. We are changing it - day by day, child by child, neighborhood by neighborhood.
