Our mission is to provide opportunities for higher education without regard to race, religion, or nation of birth. We currently have 47 ECE Scholars enrolled in 6 partner universities in Nashville, TN. Criteria for our scholarships include a B average, a documented financial need, a definite career goal, and a legal status of undocumented or DACA as these students are not eligible for student loans, federal aid, and cannot attend any state colleges as an in state resident. We provide each scholar with two mentors, one an older student at their university and the other an established individual in their career goal to offer guidance, support, and guaranteed professional success post college. We believe that we are granting our scholars an equal chance to achieve their American Dream and become productive members of society through a college degree.

We believe that every life matters. That is why we strive to deliver the best care possible to our patients, both in the clinic and in the community. Our mission is not simply to provide medical services to the poor, but to build an effective healthcare system in the region that will save lives in a sustainable, equitable and just manner. We have a vision that drives all of our programs: the poor and all in Sierra Leone deserve the best healthcare possible, and Wellbody Alliance is dedicated to delivering it. We will work towards this vision until the day that no Sierra Leonean dies a death that would not happen in America or Europe. We have a mission that aligns our work: to provide healthcare as a human right to the poor in Sierra Leone. We do this through our community health work and high quality clinical care in Kono District.

Pars' mission is to act as a catalyst for social, cultural and economic integration of  Iranian-Americans, and other communities, into mainstream American society.As a community-based social and legal services organization, Pars Equality Center is a registered 501(C)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping all members of the Iranian-American community and other Persian-speaking countries realize their full potential as informed, self-reliant, and responsible members of American society. We believe that learning and teaching the rights and responsibilities of citizenship in a democracy as well as the rules and rewards of entrepreneurship are the necessary ingredients for our success as a community.Pars Equality Center achieves its mission primarily by providing extensive social and legal services. Our Persian-speaking staff advocates for families and individuals in need with a strong focus on refugees, asylees, and those newcomers living in poverty.

Women Have Options (WHO/O) is Ohio’s statewide abortion fund. Founded in 1992, we are an organization dedicated to helping Ohioans afford their reproductive choices. We believe that everyone should be able to make their own reproductive decisions—and we work to make that a reality in Ohio. We are a founding member of the National Network of Abortion Funds, which includes more than 100 abortion funds around the United States and overseas. We provide financial assistance to help patients afford contraception, emergency contraception, and abortion services. We distribute funds to clinics throughout Ohio. These clinics, in turn, use the funds to provide financial assistance to those in need. Since 1992, Women Have Options has helped thousands pay for their reproductive choices.

The mission of the N.Y. Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund (also known as Answer the Call) is to support the families of New York City Police Officers, Firefighters, Port Authority Police, and EMS Personnel who have been killed in the line of duty. When these brave men and women make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our city, we believe it is our civic duty to support the families these heroes have left behind. Our mission is to reassure these families that we will never forget them or the sacrifice made by their loved ones. We provide financial assistance, host special gatherings, and offer a network of support to over 600 families. Our goal is to raise enough funds to assist these families for the rest of their lives. Outreach Uganda is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Colorado and dedicated to helping empower Ugandans, especially women and children, to rise out of poverty. To do this, we work with village groups in Uganda to bring hope and improve lives, especially in the areas of education, women's empowerment, and self-sufficiency through job creation. Initially, our village groups help support themselves and their families through sales of paper beaded jewelry and other craft items. The beaders save money from their bead sales so they can then start own group or individual businesses to supplement their income and eventually we hope it will be their main source of income. Micro-credit loans from their group's internal revolving loan fund provides additional help for the ladies to either start businesses or further expand their existing businesses to a level that will help them rise above poverty. As an organization, we emphasize to both our donors and our clients that we believe in truly empowering those we help. In everything we do, we seek to be a partner with those we serve so that they do not become dependent on us, and so that we do not take away their spirit of wanting to help themselves. We believe that income-generation of the women, and education of the children is the way that families can truly become empowered. But it is essential to take a holistic approach and focus on multiple areas, all of which impact the woman's income-generation potential. For instance, a woman must be relatively healthy to be a successful business owner. Therefore, we must also help a woman address issues of health. For many of our women in northern Uganda, agriculture and the raising of cash crops will be key to their income generation potential. Therefore, agricultural issues, water issues and even land access and rights become important areas to address.

Sisters Of The Road exists to build authentic relationships and alleviate the hunger of isolation in an atmosphere of nonviolence and gentle personalism that nurtures the whole individual, while seeking systemic solutions that reach the roots of homelessness and poverty to end them forever. We believe that all individuals are equally worthy, that no one has a monopoly on the truth, and that we have much to learn from one another. We consistently refuse to participate in or condone any act of violence, harm or humiliation, including sexism or racism. Our founding goals are to be a safe, public place for everyone, especially women and children, to offer nourishing meals at little cost or in exchange for labor, and to offer job training and employment experience to local residents. For thirty-five years, Sisters' has worked to fulfill these goals and to build a community based on nonviolence, dignity, and systemic change.

Jane Doe Inc.’s mission is "to bring together organizations and people committed to ending domestic violence and sexual assault. We create social change by addressing the root causes of this violence and promote safety, justice and healing for survivors. JDI advocates for responsive public policy, raises awareness, promotes collaboration and supports its member organizations to provide comprehensive prevention and intervention services. We are guided by the voices of survivors." JDI's mission and strategic vision is to help the public and decision-makers understand that we need to address all of these issues collectively and simultaneously in order to effectively support survivors and hold offenders accountable. We also need to help people understand that sexual and domestic violence is preventable. We believe that by addressing the root causes of inequity and injustice, we can change the social norms that foster and perpetuate sexual and domestic violence.

WHH believes that all women and babies should have access to healthcare. We are committed to providing that care both locally and internationally. We partner with medical organizations around the world to provide compassionate medical and surgical care in a way that is respectful to the cultural beliefs of the women. We bring together teams of physicians, nurses, physical therapists and other healthcare workers to bring relief to women and children suffering from the lack of health care that most of us take for granted. We accomplish our mission by partnering with local medical providers and organizations who demonstrate a long-term interest in the health of the local community. Although we donate our skills without monetary compensation, what we receive in return is priceless. Caring for individuals who would otherwise receive no medical attention is both gratifying and humbling.

The mission of Darkness to Light is to empower people to prevent child sexual abuse. The ultimate mission of D2L, to end childhood sexual abuse, can only be accomplished by sharing the solution of prevention, awareness and education with more and more people. This, in turn, builds momentum and over time, changes the way our nation and culture cares for, protects and nurtures our children. Being an active participant in the mission to end childhood sexual abuse is one of the most rewarding things we will ever do. We believe that learning the facts about childhood sexual abuse helps prevent it. Talking about it helps prevent it. Getting involved helps prevent it. The truth is, if childhood sexual abuse can be prevented, it can be stopped. That’s why D2L exists – to empower adults through awareness and educational programs to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to childhood sexual abuse.

Since 1980, the Richmond Peace Education Center has been an unwavering voice for peaceful conflict resolution, social justice, and nonviolent social change in the Richmond, Virginia region. Over the years the center has evolved, developing new programs and areas of focus to meet new concerns. Today the Richmond Peace Education Center is working actively to build a more peaceful and just community and world. Through its workshops, public events, youth programs, and conflict resolution training, RPEC is making a difference in the region. In the past two years alone, the center has organized or co-sponsored nearly 100 events and programs involving thousands of participants, and its impact is growing. From the beginning, RPEC has been a grassroots, member-supported organization. We simply could not do what we do without the participation and support of community members like you. Many wars exist in abstraction. This is not one of them. When a young girl is taken from her family and forced into prostitution, we Take Her Back. By conducting raid & rescue missions, we free underage sex slaves and take down the brothels that imprison them. At her core, every victim we save is loving, intelligent, and joyful. This is why our mission does not end with her rescue. Physically liberating her is just the first step. Our greater mission is to restore her stolen childhood. We are often called to act, but we are not always called to war. Will you fight for her? Take Her Back’s mission is to raise awareness and funds for the rescue, rehabilitation, and repatriation of sex trafficking victims in India. Our goal is to make this an international issue and help scale the operations, mainly through an influx of capital. We are building technology to better collect information on violations and present to the public to drive investments in raids. All raids are performed with the participation of local law enforcement agencies.
