Protect & Defend Trans Youth Fund

Right now, there are hundreds of bills pending in state legislatures across the United States that target trans youth and aim to curb their rights. The impact of fighting these anti-trans bills and policies is felt all year by trans people, their families and loved ones. The organizations benefitting from this fund are 1) providing direct services to trans youth and 2) advocating for the rights of trans youth in the states that need it most. All donations will be split evenly amongst: Black Trans Advocacy Coalition, Equality Florida, Gendernexus, House Of Tulip, JASMYN, Lucie’s Place, One Iowa, Our Spot KC, SC United, Southern Arizona Gender Alliance, Tennessee Equality Project, The Knights & Orchids Society, Transformation Project Advocacy Network, Transgender Advocates Knowledgeable Empowering (TAKE), Transgender Education Network Of Texas (TENT), Transanta, Transsocial, Zebra Coalition

Solutions Project

The Solutions Project accelerates the transition to 100%, ensuring that the opportunities and benefits of renewable energy reach all people equitably. To achieve this, we work at a movement level, championing a culture that is more inclusive, more collaborative, and more celebratory. Our programs have radically improved the conditions for change. Five years ago, our goal of 100% renewable energy was considered naive. Now, California has joined Hawaii and 100 US cities in making a 100% commitment.

Casa Project

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is in its 35th year of providing advocacy services to children living in foster care. Approximately 3,000 abused children are removed from their homes and placed in foster care each year resulting in a Judge deciding if their parents are able to make changes necessary to provide a safe home or if adoption offers more stability. Last year 206 trained Volunteer Advocates were given extensive power and responsibility to investigate the family unit, attend to the child's emotional, medical and educational needs and ultimately recommend a permanent home to the Judge. The goal for CASA is to provide justice through advocacy for abused/neglected children and moving them quickly and appropriately to safe permanent homes.
