The Dick & Jane Project is a non-profit organization based in Columbus, Ohio, committed to helping young people find their voice. We partner middle school students with professional musicians to create radio ready songs. The students write the lyrics, the musicians compose and record the music, and together they collaborate on the production of a professionally recorded song. Bringing schools, families, and communities together, we give young people the confidence to know that their words can impact people beyond the classroom walls in a very real way. The Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP) was launched on May 21, 1986, to ensure that the Pittsburgh African-American community votes in every single election. B-PEP relies on the dedication of agencies, organizations, religious leaders, and committed individuals who donate incredible amounts of hours to uplift our communities and provide a sense of purpose. We Are: Advocating that ALL African Americans are registered to vote and that they embrace the mission: “It’s a LIFETIME COMMITMENT …African Americans VOTE in EACH and EVERY election! Advocating that those in political office move expeditiously and effectively meet the needs, aspirations, and concerns of the African American population they are elected to serve. Recognizing the pivotal and powerful connection between a consistently high voting pattern in the African American community and its impact on the political process. B-PEP has been fortunate to have received support from many area corporations and agencies, including the Heinz Endowments, the Pittsburgh Foundation, the POISE Foundation, the Three Rivers Community Foundation, and the nationally recognized Ford Foundation. In addition to ensuring African-Americans participate in the voting process, B-PEP oversees the Greater Pittsburgh Coalition Against Violence (CAV), and the Corporate Equity and Inclusion Roundtable (CEIR). B-PEP is also a part of the Non-Profit Voter Engagement Network.

Mali Health empowers Sikoro, an impoverished urban community in Mali, West Africa to transform maternal and child health sustainably. We do so by: -Fostering the agency of residents and community structures to mobilize to address community health needs. -Promoting health education, prevention, and early care seeking. -Enhancing financial, geographic, and cultural access to health care for poor families.

We pride ourselves in programs that operate within a social justice framework, while celebrating the uniqueness of the individual, our programs cultivate social awareness using trauma informed and restorative practices. Emphasis is placed upon sustaining a safe environment for youth to explore their personal narratives, unique talents and value as community members and global citizens.

ROMP’s mission is to ensure access to high-quality prosthetic care for underserved people, improving their mobility and independence.

We spread joy worldwide through music, art, circus and dance. Working with vulnerable, abandoned, outcast and poorly people, we run creative sessions to help build confidence, aid childhood development and strengthen communication.

Serves homeless unaccompanied young adults 17 - 24 providing them with job training, housing and educational support services to assist them as they move towards independence.

To help veterans and military families cope with post traumatic stress distorder (PTSD) and other service related stresses through collaborative filmmaking workshops designed to reduce PTS symptoms, promote engagement with family and community, and help facilitate successful transition back into civilian life.

MCAP is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Norristown, Pennsylvania. We provide free legal representation to children who are the victims of abuse and neglect in Montgomery County. Every day in Montgomery County, children suffer abuse and neglect. Too often, they are harmed by someone close to them, often a family member. MCAP attorney advocates represent and protect the interests of these vulnerable children, offering them representation and support as they participate in the legal and social service arenas. As a unique victim's agency, MCAP provides child victims with a voice, helping them heal and learn to trust others. Although the need for MCAP was recognized as early as 1999, we were formally incorporated in 2004. MCAP was organized to provide pro bono legal services for cases involving children who are victims of abuse and or neglect including, but not limited to physical abuse, sexual abuse, gross neglect, medical neglect, endangerment, dependency, as well as child witnesses to serious crime. These children range in age from newborn to 18 years and span every socioeconomic background. As a one-of-a-kind organization, MCAP is recognized as an integral service and is supported by the courts of Montgomery County. MCAP receives referrals for child abuse cases from the judges and courts of Montgomery County, the District Attorney's Office, the Public Defender's Office, Office of Children and Youth, police departments, schools, hospitals, and private social agencies. These organizations identified an ongoing problem in the current legal system where abused and neglected children were part of the legal and social service arenas without anyone to represent their specific needs while the perpetrator had legal representation. MCAP advocates carry three or four cases each year, in addition to their regular practice of law. They form critical and long-lasting relationships with child victims to ensure that they ultimately live in a safe stable environment. MCAP has grown into a vital resource for the many abused children in Montgomery County. As word continues to spread across the county, more and more new cases and referrals come in daily. Sadly, the evaluation of our success comes from our ever-increasing numbers. Child abuse, child neglect, and child endangerment are pervasive, long-standing problems. With the incidences of poverty, addiction, pornography, and internet predators on the rise, child abuse remains an insidious occurrence. MCAP advocates provide support and legal expertise to many needy children who otherwise would be left without someone to protect them.

Our mission is to increase educational opportunities for immigrant students in Maryland by: Offering scholarships to immigrant students who graduate from a Maryland high school for post-secondary studies Providing guidance to immigrant students regarding educational options and opportunities through a comprehensive mentorship program Increasing immigrant families’ access to educational resources Strengthening support services through culturally-responsive professional learning for educators and community partners
