Mission Statement: To serve the poor in Mexico, and further the Kingdom of God through worship and intercession. Voice of the Bride "Worship and Compassion" Ministries exists for two purposes. We are committed to serving the poor and needy, specifically in Mexico. Daily, we are either picking up donated food supplies for distribution in Tijuana, or distributing food and other items to those in need in the poorer parts of Tijuana. This includes orphanages, rehabs, elderly homes, women's shelters, infirmaries, and various street outreaches, where many people hear the Gospel, as well as receive food for their families. VOB is also committed to furthering the Kingdom of GOD through worship and intercession, believing that prayer and worship 'grease the wheels' of mission work. VOB has sponsored and led worship in several targeted worship and intercession events. We have led worship at various outreaches in Tijuana, and are holding regular worship events in San Diego, designed to encourage people to spend extended time before the Lord in worship and prayer, and, specifically, to extend GOD's Kingdom on behalf of the nations through worship and intercession.

AHIP turned 40 in 2016. We started as a volunteer group of UVA students who called themselves SCRUB and went out to help clean up after Hurricane Camille in 1969. The volunteers discovered families living in dire housing conditions and kept working, evolving into the Charlottesville Housing Improvement Program in 1974. Albemarle Housing Improvement Program spun off in 1976. In 1995, CHIP closed and AHIP began working in the city. AHIP believes that everyone should be safe at home. We work year-round to provide emergency repairs, home rehabs, and energy-efficiency upgrades to families in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Our mission is to ensure safe, affordable homes for our neighbors in need. To get the job done, we work with a spectrum of community partners, including local governments, peer housing organizations, social services agencies, regional funders, a wide variety of volunteer groups, and donors. Together, we improve homes, preserve families’ assets, revitalize neighborhoods, and protect our local affordable housing stock.

Newborns in Need is a national non-profit providing for newborns in crisis. We provide care necessities through local social service agencies and hospitals to premature, ill or impoverished newborns to give them a safe, healthy start in life. The Newborns in Need community lives by its core values: - Community: We believe in local community involvement and working with social service agencies and hospitals, serve at-risk newborns and distribute care necessities to those families who need them. - Service: We serve by dedicating our time, talents, and love to improve the lives of at-risk newborns. - Family: We support the families we serve by providing newborn care necessities they may otherwise be unable to afford. - Safety: We provide care necessities to protect at-risk newborns during their first months of life. By providng basic essentials, we lessen the stress on new families who are struggling to meet the newborns's need . - Teamwork: We rely on the teamwork of our volunteers and donors to handcraft, collect and deliver donations to local social service agencies.

The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program believes that no child should be without a toy during the holiday season. In time of loss due to fire, our firefighters are the ones who see first-hand, the devastation when a child is left without a favorite toy. Donations of toys are graciously accepted throughout the year at any San Francisco firehouse. The San Francisco Firefighter’s Toy Program is the cities largest and the nation’s oldest program of its kind. Since 1949, it has evolved from a few firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families to, in 2016, 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children. Besides helping individual families in need, the Toy Program serves many community organizations, including shelters for abused women and children, inner-city schools, children’s cancer wards, and pediatric AIDS units. We also respond on a year round basis to displaced children who become victims of fires, floods and other such disasters.

The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is dedicated to providing support to people affected by retinoblastoma (Rb). We work closely with the retinoblastoma teams at the Royal London Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital - the two UK centres of excellence where Rb is diagnosed and treated. Rb is rare and little known about within the wider public so we aim to provide accurate, up to date information and one-to-one support from the point of diagnosis and beyond, aiming to minimise the negative impact of the condition on the whole family. Early diagnosis is vital to ensure the best chances of preserving a child's vision and their life. We believe everyone should know that children can get cancer in their eyes and what the signs are, so we work hard to raise awareness of Rb. We target health professionals with information about this rare cancer, which can help them to make an early referral. The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust also raises funds to support and fund clinical and scientific research projects specifically related to retinoblastoma.

Our mission is to provide emergency shelter and supportive services to victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence victims are frightened for themselves and their children. It is often difficult for them to leave or stay and maintain safety for many reasons including that they are often blamed for their own victimization. It is vital to the safety of our community that victims are provided effective services and those who use harm in relationships are held accountable. Domestic violence is a societal problem that results in disruption and trauma in the lives of individual victims. Our vision is a community where families are safe in their own home. We seek to create a safer community through quality services. We know that our clients deserve adequate housing, resources, other supports and information to choose healthy and safe alternatives and reduce the violence in their lives. We believe collaborating with others in the community will provide the strongest trauma-informed services to our clients Our work is focused on achieving racial equity, gender equality, and welcome for all members of our community. With the goal of helping under-served communities in India, Nepal, and Tibet receive the vital services they need, Karuna-Shechen was founded in 2000 by Matthieu Ricard (www.matthieuricard.org), renown TED speaker, author, and humanitarian. We strive to reduce inequalities and work toward a fairer and more compassionate world. We trust that communities can be lifted out of poverty, that change is possible, and that the well-being of every individual, regardless of race, gender, class, or caste, is essential. We provide vulnerable and disadvantaged populations access to health care, education and vocational training, clean water, solar electricity, and other sustainable solutions that offer options to find a livelihood and a better life. We work with a grassroots network of local partners, and give special attention to the education and empowerment of girls and women. Karuna-Shechen's name expresses its mission while paying homage to its roots: Karuna means "compassion" in Sanskrit, and Shechen is the name of a major monastery in Tibet.

Connections For Children is the unrivaled child care expert in the Westside and South Bay communities of Los Angeles County. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible. Most of all, it's the founding principle of our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child. Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved - wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals, and communities. The impact varies. Founded in 2004 by a group of young professionals who believed people can make a difference, HandsOn Shanghai is an officially registered non-profit organization with the Shanghai Civil Affair Bureau since 2010. Governed by a board of 11 members, the HandsOn Shanghai volunteer platform helps to bridge the divide that exists between individuals who are looking to give back to their community and the organizations that would benefit from the support that volunteers can provide. With a primary objective of providing flexible volunteer opportunities for busy professionals and serving local charities in needs, HOS manages a big group of volunteers and a diverse range of community service projects in Shanghai Currently we engage more than 2500 volunteers each month through more than 150 local service projects. Projects that benefit the young and old through long term, committed, partnerships with more than 75 project partners. With our mission is to promote volunteerism, inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world, we envision a world in which individuals, students, and corporate leaders are able to discover (and harness) their power to make a difference, participate as volunteers, and participants in the development of healthy, vibrant, and resilient communities.

Unfortunately, many people don't have regular access to essential hygiene products or can't afford them, which can have a significant impact on their self-esteem and overall health. At CareBag Inc., we are committed to helping those who are struggling with hygiene insecurity. Our mission is to provide school-aged children and young adults in need with essential hygiene products to support their health, boost their confidence, and improve their hygiene education. We understand that it's challenging for some individuals to get the items they need to feel clean and healthy, which is why we have two mobile shower units and a mobile hygiene pantry to help meet their needs. Our vision for the future is that everyone living in the US has access to essential hygiene products to feel their best and live their lives to the fullest.
