Kids Cooking For Life (KCL) believes every child deserves to live a healthy and happy life. KCL teaches nutrition and inspires lifelong healthy cooking and eating habits through hands-on cooking classes to students from low income communities. We believe that instilling an understanding of proper diet and nutrition is a way to help combat the childhood obesity epidemic and the early onset of type 2 diabetes, among other diseases. KCL is fiscally sponsored by MarinLink.

Friedens Community Ministries, Inc is a network of food pantries building ladders of peace throughout Milwaukee. We believe that a dependable supply of food is a means of bringing hope and dignity to our community.

Nourish Food Banks is the oldest and largest food bank network in Pierce County, with locations in Edgewood, Graham/South Hill, Lakewood, Northeast Tacoma, Northwest Tacoma, Southeast Tacoma and West Tacoma. Nourish’s innovative Mobile Food Bank, a semi-truck and trailer turned food bank on wheels, visits a different location daily, including schools in the Bethel, Clover Park and Tacoma School Districts, and higher education learning centers like Tacoma Community College and UW Tacoma. We believe in empowering the future generations of Malawi to emerge from poverty through their own efforts by providing access to quality and relevant education, coupled with the necessary educational resources and training to assist communities in establishing and celebrating sustainable livelihoods.

Their mission is to provide groceries, household essentials and companionship to all members of the Broward County Jewish community who are in need. While they are especially committed to assisting Holocaust survivors, homebound seniors, individuals with special needs and/or disabilities and victims of domestic violence, they are here to ensure that no Jew in Broward County goes hungry. You need not be religiously observant to receive our help.
