At Council for the Homeless we believe housing is a human need and our mission is to prevent and end homelessness in Clark County, WA. We serve as the central access point for homelessness and housing assistance countywide and our staff assist people each day through our Housing Hotline, Outreach, Housing Coordination, and programs for specific groups such as seniors, families, and Veterans.

HRHF is an arm of Hope Rising Homes, Corporation (HRHC). Our mission is to give orphans, vulnerable and at-risk children a better life, by providing hope for a brighter future and a vision of life beyond their present vulnerable situations. HRHC strives to provide food, housing, education, and health care services; as well as rehabilitation, and clinical and faith-based counseling services to these needy children. HRHC aims to provide opportunities for the children to pursue either educational and/or job training, and other skill enhancements needed to become productive citizens. Additionally, by offering positive role models to guide and mentor these children, HRHC believes the children will overcome their negative pasts, and move on to bright and prosperous futures. We strongly believe that with the proper intervention, these children will thrive, develop to their full potential, and positively influence and contribute to their immediate communities and to the society at large.

The Little Sisters of the Poor offer needy elderly persons total quality care in a loving, supportive Home where they are welcomed as family and cared for with dignity and respect until death. Believing that to accompany the elderly on their final journey is the greatest expression of their vow of hospitality, the Little Sisters humbly and prayerfully devote their lives to fulfilling this most sacred aspect of Our Lord's mission of salvation.

We believe that all deserve adequate food, housing, and respect. We assist our neighbors in obtaining basic needs that affirm their human dignity and worth. We make sure that our neighbors have food on their tables and roofs over their heads.We serve clients in Washington State's Greater North Seattle, including Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Bothell, and Kenmore.

For 7 years the Sheehan Adopt-A-Family Project (www.safproject.org), a 501(c)(3) charity, has adopted hundreds of homeless and needy families during the holidays. In addition to looking after these families once again this year we will also be expanding our reach into group homes (i.e. orphanages) by asking for technology donations (old phones, tablets, and computers. The reason I want to expand into group homes is because I’ve identified a connection between aging out of group homes and homelessness. As many of you are aware, we have a tremendous problem of homelessness in our city. Over 40,000 people are on the streets of Los Angeles, and this number is on the rise. Youths make up the fastest growing homeless age group with those 18-24 up 64% since 2016 followed by those under 18 at 41%, according to US News. Since the majority of youth in group homes are kicked out onto the streets on the day of their 18th birthday, I hope to intervene by providing these youth with the technological resources necessary for surviving on their own. The mission of Union Station Homeless Services is to help men, women and children rebuild their lives and end homelessness. We provide a full continuum of housing, employment and life skills programs to help people regain dignity and achieve self-sufficiency. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual and strive to provide the highest quality of services based on a foundation of respect for all people.

The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is a charitable, not-for-profit, community service organization dedicated to putting Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. We empower survivors of domestic violence and their children to believe in themselves and build new lives filled with dignity, respect, safety, and hope. Empowerhouse gives victims the time, space, and tools to heal their hearts, renew their spirits, restore their connections, and rebuild their lives. We break the cycle of domestic violence through shelter, housing, support, education, prevention, and intervention.Empowerhouse serves the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg in Virginia.

Plymouth Healing Communities (PHC) provides companionship, housing and advocacy for individuals who live with mental illness and have experienced homelessness. Our transitional home has a living room, a garden, and a large enough table for everyone to gather for dinners, which they do five nights a week. Our permanent housing is nestled in neighborhoods and comes with friends. At Plymouth Healing Communities, we believe healing happens when vulnerable people are shown care, love, and respect.
