The mission of New Hope Housing is to provide homeless individuals and families shelter and the tools to build a better life.Founded in 1977, New Hope Housing is an innovative, award-winning nonprofit agency in Northern Virginia providing shelter, permanent supportive housing, outreach and prevention assistance, and support services for homeless families and single adults. New Hope Housing is committed to finding creative and lasting solutions to end the cycle of homelessness by offering homeless men, women, and children the services they need to change their lives and succeed. We believe that each individual success story contributes to a stronger, healthier community for all of us. New Hope Housing operates programs in Fairfax County, Arlington County, Alexandria, and Falls Church.

Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP) brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of our low-income neighbors in San Mateo County.We are a safe and healthy housing organization that believes community starts at home. Our focus provides critical repairs, accessibility modifications, and energy-efficient upgrades to low-income homes and community centers at no cost to service recipients. Our impact extends beyond the individuals served to revitalize and stabilize vulnerable neighborhoods through our three core programs: National Rebuilding Day, Safe at Home and Team Build. Since 1989, approximately 1,700 homeowners and 400 community centers have witnessed the places they call home transform before their very eyes with the help of 60,000 volunteers.

H.Y.S.S.O.P. Housing Inc.-Honoring Your Seasoned Spirit in Opulent Places was founded 2010, formed as a group in 2012, acquired its 501c3 non-profit status in 2015. We exist to provide aging 55+ LGBTQ Women of Color quality housing in a supportive environment. We seek to improve the quality of life for this community and to respond to the needs of this community through housing ventures. We aspire to provide safe, fully sustainable, culturally diverse housing for aging 55+ LGBTQ Women of Color and the women & family who love them. We believe that aging 55+ LGBTQ Women of Color deserve the right to live in an environment that supports our sexuality, cultural sensitivity, different abilities, as well as address the care and well-being of our overall self.

In 2016 we answered a call in our local, online newspaper, Next Door, inviting anyone interested to come join a small group who were currently serving coffee and donuts to the homeless population in Venice. Within a few short weeks we saw the great need for so much more. We began to bring hand sanitizers, wipes, tissues, shoes, blankets, tents and whatever else we could supply. We decided we wanted to help on a much more personal level, far beyond dropping off supplies and serving coffee. We chose to see if we could begin to transition the homeless off the streets. It took a tremendous amount of time to build the necessary trust with each person before they slowly began to believe we really were going to help them transition from chronic homelessness into a life with purpose. This is a very long expensive process which requires endless courage, strength, and resilience on the part of the homeless individual trying to change their life. In 2017 we established our I.R.C. 501(c)(3) Hope For The Hearts Of The Homeless, Inc., hopesforhomeless.org. We were making progress and began to witness success, watching those who wanted to change their lives succeed, yet needing a helping hand throughout the entire process. For some it begins with a hospital stay first, for others it’s a drug/alcohol rehab, and for many it is help finding affordable housing. In addition, we assist obtaining eligible benefits for those who qualify. We currently work close to 7 days a week with many days going well into the night. All we do is worth every minute, seeing a once homeless individual blossom into a new life. Once stable, we then assist with job placement for some, going back to school for others, and reconnecting some with their family and friends, once estranged. Please help us help the homeless. The mission of the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless is to generate policies, community support and local resources for housing and services to end homelessness in Minnesota. They believe everyone deserves a safe, decent, affordable place to call home and that homelessness is preventable. Many factors may cause homelessness including a health crisis, a lost job, a mismatch between income and housing costs, family violence, or a transition from an institutional setting back into a community. The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless exists to ensure the community supports are in place to prevent and address the root causes of homelessness. They achieve their mission and vision through advocacy, technical assistance, and building public awareness. The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless is uniquely positioned as the hub of a statewide network of 150 homeless service providers and other concerned individuals and organizations across Minnesota. The Coalition has been the voice for people experiencing homelessness and for service providers in state and federal policy decision-making since 1984.

Shores of Grace is a worship and missionary ministry currently headquartered in Recife, Brazil, led by Nic and Rachael Billman. Our focus is setting those in prostitution and abuse free and walking them through restoration; taking the love of the Father to the poor and the broken and helping them see their true value, and equipping and serving the church in Brazil (with bases in Recife, Rio and Fortaleza). The goal of our staff is to reveal Father God in all that we do. Whether we’re leading worship in a church, walking the streets of Brazil or shopping at the local grocery store, we want to reveal the Father. This is the calling that God has placed on our lives and we believe it’s a calling for the whole church, for all of the sons and daughters of the living God. To live a life of compassion and power where miracles and healing follow us everywhere we go, just as they did with Jesus. We also have a base in Philadelphia, PA where Luke and Alisan Billman live their lives with compassion and power for the people in communities surrounding their home.

AHIP turned 40 in 2016. We started as a volunteer group of UVA students who called themselves SCRUB and went out to help clean up after Hurricane Camille in 1969. The volunteers discovered families living in dire housing conditions and kept working, evolving into the Charlottesville Housing Improvement Program in 1974. Albemarle Housing Improvement Program spun off in 1976. In 1995, CHIP closed and AHIP began working in the city. AHIP believes that everyone should be safe at home. We work year-round to provide emergency repairs, home rehabs, and energy-efficiency upgrades to families in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Our mission is to ensure safe, affordable homes for our neighbors in need. To get the job done, we work with a spectrum of community partners, including local governments, peer housing organizations, social services agencies, regional funders, a wide variety of volunteer groups, and donors. Together, we improve homes, preserve families’ assets, revitalize neighborhoods, and protect our local affordable housing stock.

We believe that proper hygiene is a basic human right that should be available to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Unfortunately, many people don't have regular access to essential hygiene products or can't afford them, which can have a significant impact on their self-esteem and overall health. At CareBag Inc., we are committed to helping those who are struggling with hygiene insecurity. Our mission is to provide school-aged children and young adults in need with essential hygiene products to support their health, boost their confidence, and improve their hygiene education. We understand that it's challenging for some individuals to get the items they need to feel clean and healthy, which is why we have two mobile shower units and a mobile hygiene pantry to help meet their needs. Our vision for the future is that everyone living in the US has access to essential hygiene products to feel their best and live their lives to the fullest. This year, the Santa Claus Shop celebrates its 51st year of continued service here in Summit. The Santa Claus Shop, strictly a volunteer organization, is affiliated with SHIP (Summit Helping Its People). With your help, the Santa Claus Shop magically opens its doors for two days to more than 500 needy families and senior citizens of Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights. These individuals are invited to pick out new clothing, house wares and toys for members of their immediate families. On November 29th, 2017 the Santa Claus Shop will open its doors to the community for holiday shopping. Our guests, who are referred to us by social service agencies in the three towns, enjoy a dignified, free shopping experience with complimentary refreshments provided by local businesses and gift wrapping by our volunteers. This project can only continue through the support of those who believe, as we do, that a contribution to the Santa Claus Shop expresses the best values of the holiday season. The shop exists solely based on the donation of local businesses, and volunteers. With the monetary donations from the area residents, local organizations and businesses, the Santa Claus Shop can purchase the gifts that allow less fortunate neighbors to experience the joy of holiday giving without the financial burden.

(WORD) is one of Missoula’s longest established and most experienced non-profit organizations. Since our founding in 1986, WORD has spearheaded, supported and participated with organizations, agencies and individuals who are committed to building community in Missoula. Vision: At WORD we envision a socially just world where each person is valued and all are empowered to fulfill their potential. We aim to build, through collective action, the socioeconomic, cultural and political conditions that ensure equality, independence and full participation for all. We believe that these conditions are indispensable to the health and sustainability of families, communities and society as a whole. Broken Wings Ministry is dedicated to Tammy's (founder of Broken Wings) brother Jimbo who died on Christmas Eve 2014 from a heroin overdose. He suffered from Opiod / mental health issues. He was a victim of the national opioid crisis in America and did not receive the help he needed. Broken Wings want to restore lives to people who are broken by addiction and mental health / trauma. We offer services in the Orlando area with emphasis on women and children suffering from opiod addiction/ substance abuse and other mental health challenges. Curently we provide services including outpatient office based therapy, animal and garden therapy. Once our residential home is purchased, clients can come and heal in a safe holistic environment (body, mind and spirit). Therapeutic interventions will aim to get at the root cause of addiction/ mental health and seek healing from triggers with effective interventions to avoid relapse. Interventions include: animal therapy, garden therapy, EMDR, talk therapy, group therapy, therapeutic massage, spirituality, develooping life skills, nutrition education and a twelve step program with family involvement. Then, after a client graduates from our program we want to follow them for life. We believe that recovery is a life long process and want to stand by our alumni. Therefore, Broken Wings will offer lifelong alumni outpatient counseling services to clients for support to prevent relapse.
