For more than 120 years, Missouri Baptist Children's Home has provided a place where hurting children can find the love and care they so desperately need. Child abuse, abandonment, behavioral problems and emotional disturbances bring hundreds of children to Missouri Baptist Children's Home each year. Since we believe that God ordained the family as the primary institution for nurture, growth and support of children, our services reflect the belief that "family works". We therefore strive to find and/or establish families that work for those we serve. Children and families facing crisis situations need programs and services designed to meet the many needs with shich they are struggling. These families need resources and services they can access in their community and receive within a safe, caring environment. Missouri Baptist Children's Home provides trained, compassionate staff to work with families in crisis to strengthen them and assist them in becoming the best families they can be.
What began as a volunteer effort in 1910 has grown into an extensive campus offering retirement housing, assisted living, state-of-the-art nursing and rehab care, memory care and other services for seniors and their families. Today, more than 1,070 people make our campus in Rockville, Maryland, their home, and rely on the Charles E. Smith Life Communities for sophisticated inpatient rehabilitation, specialized memory care, nursing home services, senior housing, assisted living and outpatient medical care. We are also serving younger adults recovering from prolonged illnesses. Our programs are open to all in the community.
